Please note the following additional requirements for Sars-CoV-2/Covid19 prevention (Status: June 15):

• Heidelberg University Hospital confirms the medical necessity and available capacities for treatment.

• For patients and possibly accompanying persons from risk areas (see below), a negative test result on Covid-19 for entering Germany is mandatory.

• This test result must not be older than 48 hours (before entry) and has to be provided to treating medical department upon arrival.

• Before admission, another test on Covid-19 is done in Heidelberg University Hospital.

The patient is not subject to a domestic quarantine obligation (e.g. in a hotel).

An accompanying person not fulfilling the above-named criteria for an exception is subjected to a (14-day) domestic quarantine obligation (e.g. in a hotel) and has to personally report to the responsible health authority of his destination (e.g. public health authority of Heidelberg/Gesundheitsamt). Please note that there may be fines if these obligations are not met.
